TVA Grant Process

Energy and Environment Cabinet Opens the TVA Grant Application Process
Thank you for your interest in the Tennessee Valley Authority Environmental Mitigation Projects program.  The application deadline was Oct. 15, 2012.
The Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) invites various organizations across the Commonwealth of Kentucky to apply for a grant under the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Environmental Mitigation Projects program. This program stems from a settlement consent decree between the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and TVA that funds the program $11.5 million over a five-year period. EEC will accept and review applications for a variety of projects and programs that advance energy conservation, efficiency and renewable generation in the Commonwealth.
A previous Request for Proposal (RFP) process for this program was determined to be inappropriate for this type of grant. For that reason, the EEC has ceased all activities associated with the initial RFP and is instead soliciting, through a grant application, project proposals from eligible parties, to fulfill the spirit and terms of the TVA settlement agreement.
EEC believes you will find the grant application process to be user-friendly and straightforward. We look forward to great ideas. Please apply by Oct. 15, 2012. As noted in the application manual, please contact Paul Brooks by phone 502-564-7192 or email for any questions.
